![]() It takes maybe 40-45 minutes in average traffic to get there, but that's do-able and worth it if they are good.It sounds like you have put some thought into this already. Good to know that Audi Bethesda has a good reputation. I'm a low-mileage driver, certainly less than 10,000 a year, so that makes a difference. I could buy Audi Care but I would be paying for four years (15, 25, 35, 45) and then it expires in 2020 so I would only be getting two years of services (20). They just did the 15k service on it before selling it to me (although the car only has 10,500 miles, it is two years old, so it was due). The dealership is trying to sell it to me, but it's not cost-effective in this case. It takes maybe 40-45 minutes in average traffic to get there, but that's do-able and worth it if they are good. I had to break down the service costs to some customers when I still worked at the dealerships so this is why I am saying this. No, I don't have Audi Care. Other models like the ones with the 4.0T engine (S6/S7/RS7/A8/S8) or the RS5 are usually always better off going the Audi Care route due to cost. It can be cheaper than the Audi Care cost to do the services yourself or at an independent shop for an A5. Now if your car does not have Audi Care then you can either buy it, go to an independent shop to do the services, or DIY. I highly recommend taking advantage of the Audi Care services at an Audi dealership (anyone of your choosing) if your car has it since that will save you money. ![]() You can check if your car has Audi Care by calling an Audi dealership with your VIN handy and ask them to check. This is my first Audi after many years of owning Japanese cars, and I want to do it right. If the car has Audi Care then the next services (25K, 35K, and 45K along with probably a brake fluid flush) are already prepaid for. For routine service, the 25k, 35k, etc., do you NoVa folks mostly NOT take your cars to a dealer, but to the various places mentioned above? My car had 10,000 miles on it so they did the 15,000 mile service after the previous owner turned it in, so I don't have to worry about it for a year, but just wondered 1) who do you think the best VA dealer is for service, and 2) if not a dealer, then what shop do you like? ![]() I just bought a 2016 A5 Cab from Audi Bethesda, though I live the other side of the Beltway from them in Alexandria.
